Last week I was honored to perform at the Avogadro's 6th Annual Labor Day Jazz Festival with three groups - The Colorado Swing Big Band, The Just Jazz Quintet, and The Montgomery Jazz Group. What a day for jazz in Northern Colorado, with two stages of music running all day, inside and outside. It was also a great day for Northern Colorado musicians to network and support one another in our craft. Other groups playing that day were the Steve Johnson Group, The Twirling Zucchini Trio, Aakash Mittal Trio, The Poudre River Irregulars, Square Peg, The Jazz Cookers, Dave Lunn & the Ft. Collins Youth Jazz Project, and The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars. Thanks to Rob Osborne, owner of Avogadro's Number for continuing to host this fantastic event year after year.
