Rosann Winn is a Singer-Songwriter whose voice has been drawing listeners in for more than 30 years — in coffeehouses, event venues, and at private, corporate, and community gatherings. Her music explores what it means to live fully: the love and loss that shape us, the faith that sustains us, the beauty that remains.
A classically trained vocalist with a bachelor’s degree in music, Rosann has spent her career creating and sharing music to encourage, uplift, and inspire. She began performing professionally in the early 1990s as one half of the acoustic duo Take 2 in Rochester, Minnesota, playing coffeehouses, weddings, and conventions. After moving to Fort Collins in 1998, she continued as a solo artist before a chance coffeehouse performance of “Summertime” led to a 20-year run as featured vocalist with Colorado Swing Big Band. She performed across the Colorado Front Range with groups ranging from an 18-piece big band to jazz quartets and Dixieland combos, while also gigging under her own name in solo, duo, trio, and band formats.
For nearly three decades Rosann taught voice, guitar, piano, songwriting, and performance technique — work she describes as among the most rewarding of her life. She also co-led the contemporary worship band at her Lutheran church for ten years. She holds a master’s degree in management and has worked in arts administration, music management, and hospitality.
Rosann has built her musical life around her family. With her husband as her biggest supporter and steady partner, she raised two daughters while pursuing music during off-hours: teaching from her home studio, gigging on evenings and weekends, leading worship on Sundays. The girls grew up with a mom who performed, taught, and filled the house with music and creativity.
When both daughters faced serious illness — one at age eight, the other at fifteen — Rosann became a dedicated healthcare advocate, particularly in the arthritis and rare disease space. That work earned her the Edward M. Kennedy Advocacy Leadership Award from the Arthritis Foundation. The loss of both her parents deepened her understanding of grief. These experiences shape her songwriting and her voice — the weight behind the words.
With four original albums released through her independent label Set It Free Music, and new music in progress, Rosann is focused on writing and recording songs and continuing to connect with audiences. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she has lived since 1998, Rosann shares a home with her husband. With daughters now on opposite coasts and a love of travel, she is often on the road, gathering songs and stories along the way.
